The sunlight poured through the curtains as I sipped my coffee and listened to classical lullabye music.

I chose the final knit bonnets and layers to incorporate into baby Shepherd's newborn session. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is actually my job. I have loved babies ever since I could hold a doll and my second love of art and design was close to follow.

The family pulled up and I welcomed them all into the studio. All the boys were excited, but also a bit shy. We chatted for a few minutes and I showed them some toys while I explained the workflow of the morning to mom and dad.

After a few minutes, we settled on the bench with the warm sun flooding the floor beside them. Family photos were first, followed by shots of the new baby with is brothers. There were a few bribes and silly words exchanged to get the boys to cooperate, which is always expected (I'm not above bribes!). Shepherd made it clear that he was ready for a snack, so we took a feeding break and then jumped back into it with photos of mom and dad.

Lastly, we finished up with photos of the star, himself, while dad took the boys outside to play. I love the time that I get to spend with new parents just as much as their sweet new babies, it brings back tender memories for me-chatting about the joy and struggles of new parenthood. I can't wait to share coffee and laughs with the next family while we create timeless memories together!
